Siddharth Goenka
A change maker and an entrepreneur at heart, Siddharth Goenka, was born and raised in Bangalore. He is the founder of Kesariya, a thriving Shekhawati restaurant in the heart of Bangalore. Our founder has extensively traveled to the major south Indian culinary regions to learn from the locals about their food choices. With this information, we’ve ensured to incorporate every cultural aspect and attribute to our dishes. With an interest in food and a desire to introduce Shekhawati cuisine in Bangalore, Mr. Goenka made the decision to start and grow Kesariya.
He was educated in the Uk and Bangalore and often lived in his homeland Karnataka and ancestral land in Rajasthan. In Rajasthan, Goenka lived in a haveli belonging to his ancestors, which is more than 100 years old—living in his ancestral haveli birthed the idea of Kesariya.
“I often tell my family that I live in the shadows of my ancestors,” says Siddharth, adding that the haveli culture of Shekhawat may not be eminent today, though it still abides by its rich traditions. And it’s the rich culture and the haveli culture components which Goedka wanted to introduce to Bangalore, thus making way for Kesariya- a renowned Shekhawat restaurant. When Kesariya started to thrive and his desire to provide his homeland with delicious South Indian cuisines grew, he decided to establish Annpoornam.
And he hopes that the people from his homeland, Rajasthan, will gladly welcome it and grow to love it. “I am looking forward to giving Jaipur an experience that is typical of Karnataka. Our chefs are all from Mysore and have years of experience, which will ensure the legitimacy of recipes and flavors.”, says Goenka.
